Stick to players who give you the very best chances of maximising points (all rounders, WK bats, wily old part time slow bowlers), and hope you don't pick an experienced, proven all rounder like Ben Cutting and find that this year he's got a captain who only ever allows him to bowl one over per match and find you have to rely on him scoring heavily off a handful of balls at the fag end of an innings to scrape a few points together (thank goodness I didn't pick him this year)

Or pick last year's Golden arm and the player with the most 50s in BBL history (almost twice as many as the next best) and watch as the spend half the season watching from the sidelines with concussion...

Siddle's fracture is to his non bowling thumb so might be available for Adelaide's next game
