Ha! I've got to re-register (thanks David Cameron) in a few weeks so time might be short. See how it goes.

re-register what?

I have to reregister as a nurse every three years. It used to be rubber stamped, but now the coalition decided I should have to produce a portfolio demonstrating my fitness to work. Shame, as the leader of the free world likes to say.

I have to do the same, for the HCPC, only it's every 2 years, but it is as straight forward as filling in a form on-line. takes about 5 mins.

of course, if I was unlucky enough to be one of the 2.5% called in for audit, it would take a lot longer, because I'd have to rake together all my evidence of continued professional development together into a presentable format. Fortunately that hasn't happened yet.

Mine won't necessarily be called in for audit, but it has to be passed by the hospital as being fit for that. It's going to be about 40 hours work I don't really have....Anyway, mustn't grumble.
