ok - seeing as BN has found the precedent and the debate seems somewhat divided, we should probably try to be consistent with precedent. Probably should update the rules to say that only points scored in that division count

Surely by counting Tredwell's points a new precedent is being created. Players moving to clubs within the same division is one thing but moving from one division to another is quite different. As there is no rule currently I think Tredwell's points should be counted but a rule should be made that players moving divisions are in future counted as dnp.

bn is clearly unhappy about Tredwell earning points for Sussex. Perhaps he had Panesar in his team last year, and accepted the decision back then that points would not be awarded.

Did Monty move permanently last year, or was it a loan move until the end of the season when it was made permanent? Is this the same situation?

What about Shah playing for Hants in the T20, or Hales who earned points away from Notts?

What about players who move counties permanently? I think an FL team contains players not teams so provided they play in the same division points should be counted.

I had Monty last year (loan - made permanent in the summer) but wasn't too upset by it as it made sense at the time? I don't know, I will let you guys come up with a decision. Don't know why we would count Tredwell's points this time and then change the rule for the future?

How is Shah in the T20s relevant ?? he isn't signed to anyone...he goes around the world playing T20s only.

Back to the point at hand..I personally don't think he should get the points, its a division 2 fantasy league, and hes playing in division 1.

But next year just having 1 big FL with 11 players from either division would be the solution and better IMO.

only m@tt picked him, and that was only the second time he's played all season. M@tt is also second bottom in the league. Whatever is decided over Tredwell, as far as this FL is concerned, is likely to leave the leaderboard largely unaffected, but it is something that we should address for other FL's.

Like I said, next year should just be 1 league with 11 players across both divisions, would make it more fun anyway, since in recent years we have had players have 9-10 of the same guys each.

Or if the footman is suggesting we could do the MVP league with 5+2 (is it based on that structure?) and then a 1 + 2 with 11? Obviously this depends on people being willing to organise it?
