IF Id known then I would of had an easier time picking a bloody song.... sorry GJ, Australia does a fine chocolate biscuit that doubles as a tea straw, but music..... :no

It is far, far better as a coffee (or warmed port) straw than a tea straw.

You probably have heard very little of Aus music, Sussex, if it is just what you have heard while living in Britain/Europe, then that is a small percentage. Plenty of good stuff that you haven't heard - although, didn't you nominate Sia in an earlier round?

I like Sia, but I didnt want to repeat the same artist from an earlier round. Cant claim to be an authority on Aussie music, but the pop stuff that gets about is pretty rubbish in general. Even those that found fame recently, like Iggy Azalea, not my cup of tea. My original song selection was a Cold Chisel number, "flame trees", but no one would understand the irony. The only Aussie band I own albums from is the Living End, and they went massively rubbish. Actually, I might have a wolfmother album somewhere.

Actually, come to think of it, I might have a few. A vines record (god that singer was a pr*ck), Brode Dalle from the distillers is an Aussie (are the band, not sure), Midnight Oil... Annoyingly, I love Grinderman, but as I said, I didnt know cave was an Aussie. I may have bought a silverchair album and gave it away (bad recommendation).

Of course, ACDC. Who doesnt own one of them. And depending on who claims the Bee Gees.

i think i might have been tempted to go for torn by natalie imbruglia in this round if i had been playing, if for no other reason that when she sang the line "lying naked on the floor" i usually got a little shiver down my spine, as she was a bit gorgeous

Judging by Sussex's recent posts, he probably still thinks it's a woman!

You would probably have my vote if you had gone with Flame Trees, Sussex. A great song from a band I was never into too much. (and I don't get the irony). I like Bow River as well.

I forgot about the original Seekers. I might have picked one of theirs even though their style of folk music isn't to everyone's taste.

The Seekers are maybe one of those "body of work" bands.

Results of Week 4 and Scores

1st - Cant Get You Out of My Head chosen by AC (joker played)
2nd - Highway to Hell chosen by GG
3rd - Great Southern Land chosen by Andy
4th - By My Side chosen by Ginger
5th - Sway chosen by Sussex
6th= I Got You chosen by Aidan
6th= Into My Arms chosen by GJ

Scores

1st - AC - 29 points
2nd - GG - 27 points
3rd - Andy - 19 points
4th - Aidan - 16 points
5th= Ginger - 14 points
5th= Sussex - 14 points
7th - GJ - 10 points

AC storms into the lead after selling out, picking a Kylie song and getting double points from his joker :no
Looking like a 2 horse race but with all others still having their joker to play still time to catch the top 2
GJ's miserable run continues
