not for me. It's been a long time since I had such a feeling of positivity about an England debutant. I saw the change in him between this year and last year and once the 5fers started rolling in I was utterly convinced the call up would come sooner rather than later, then I was utterly convinced that he'd start at Lords and finally that he'd bowl well

only based on the sub rule in the BBL, substitute players in the FL pick up any points they earn, as do the players they replace.

I imagine this would work for concussion subs too. In the Profs case, Leach would pick up any points he'd earned up to the point where he left the field (in this case, zero, I imagine) but then Ajaz would take over from that point.

Easy enough in this case because Leach was off before Ajaz was on, but if Latham (for example) was his first reserve and he'd already scored 30 runs at the point Leach went off then that's a bt more complicated, because you'd have to know how many of Latham's runs wouldn't count and that can be hard to tell from a scorecard later in the day

Perhaps it would be easier to say that the subbed player picks up any points earned up to the point he went off, but the replacement would only begin to earn points from the next innings
