Better standing up than Richardson, But then had significantly more practice.

Looked good in the Gloucs limited overs side.

Dropped a lot of chances standing back for England.

A capable and dogged batter who could outperform the top six on his day and played one legendary innings. But Richardson was a scrapper too.

i know he didn't play tests because of the boycott but CLive Rice has pretty impressive FC figures as an all-rounder

averaged 40+ with the bat and 22.5 with the ball
