just a last thought

50s still seem quite common when i was looking at the stats, should we make it still 20 points for a 50 and then an extra 20 for each additional increment of 50

so it would be 20 for a 50, 40 for a 100, 60 for a 150

I did wonder that, but felt that if we were to award the same points as the men for the 50, then we might as well keep the 100 the same too, because I doubt that many centuries are scored.... yet we are trying to increase the points for the batters to improve the balance between bat and ball in what are essentially lower scoring matches

That was the main reason behind me suggesting including 25 and 75 in the bonus points

I agree about the 25, if I'm honest, but maybe we say 20/50, 30/75, 40/100?

or maybe we keep the landmark bonus points the same as the mens, but ramp up the SR points.....
10/70, 15/75, 20/80, 25/90, 30/100, 35/110, 40/120, 50/150+?

Proving to be quite tricky, really

all it was is looking at the ratio of 50s to innings in womens cricket 50s are still quite high but because of lower strike rates that 100s are less common, so thought rewarding the 100 meant more

i think the s/r bonus plus the bonus for a 100 is enough to address the balance between bat and ball but happy to go with the extra for 50 too or another intermediate bonus between 50 and 100 if thats what the consensus is

i've started the thread but can amend the bonuses if necessary and no-one has picked their team yet

I've had a look through the women's stats for 2014-16 and I'm pretty happy with the SR bonus for batters.

100's are less common (unless you are Meg Lanning), and 50's more common than I originally thought, so i'd be happy with your suggestion of 20/50, 40/100

I'm beginning to think that the econ bonus rates for bowlers is a tad generous. Most of the decent bowlers from the decent teams are averaging less than 5 runs per over over a 2 year period, so I'm going to suggest that we award 15pt for an econ of 4 and under and 25pt for 3 and under (until it was recently changed, the men were awarded 15 for 5's and 25 for 4's)

that might serve

only you, me and BN have offered an opinion, so I reckon that we can decide for the inaugural women's ODI FL and then discuss it afterwards to see how it pans out
