will you explain this bit to me, ian. does this mean that the top performing XI plyaers in my squad in a particular round of matches are automatically selected on my behalf, and the points they accrued awarded to me?

You will have the option to list your squad in preferred order for each matchweek. The spreadsheet will then take from your list the first eleven players that actually play in that week. These may or may not be the highest scorers.

Can we say any players who are not on the list have a base value of 50k?

I will go through the cricinfo squads and cross reference with the players already valued, then produce a list of these. As a general principle I have no problem with a standard £50K (as last year's players will know the valuations become redundant after the auction) but I think that these players should only come into effect in the second round of the auction, as some people have already submitted their initial bids.

After the auction and lottery stage all of the valuations are dispensed with.

During the transfer windows managers can release players (my current thinking is up to 5 players in each of the 3 windows - last year it was 2 players each week) then pick replacements from the pool of unallocated players.

This is done on a draft basis with the manager bottom of the league having first pick and top of the league selecting last.

Ntini... all your bids rounded to the nearest 5k are not valid!!! You have to bid in 10k instalments!!

Red has also bid for Siddle in the first round, I am happy to let that one stand tbh as he has put well over the 50k suggested.
