Rules

You select twelve golfers playing in the Open starting June 12th. Your choice of players will be restricted by the following criteria. From the Official World Rankings website (2014 week 22) http://www.owgr.com/ranking

Of your team of 12, at least 3 of your players must be ranked outside the Top 50. Of the allowed 9 players ranked inside the Top 50, no more than 6 can be from the Top 20, with a maximum of 3 from the Top 5.


Scoring System

You will score points for your best 5 performers over the course of the tournament. Your best 5 players' final shot totals will be added together, with the team having the lowest total number of shots being declared the winner.

For the sake of clarity: players who do not finish the tournament (either by missing the cut or pulling out of the tournament) will be adjudged to have taken 400 shots for the 4 rounds.

Really tough one to call this. The course is said to play to level Par and over, and all but one prediction I have seen says only the winner is likely to break past the PAR mark over the tournament..... might see another nobody or past qualifier surge through the field.

Going for a long driver might be the way, but I think the recovery shots and Iron play will win it, or someone like Bubba who has a good percentage of Iron shots and a huge drive has a brilliant chance. McIllory must be favourite.

Now I avoided picking Dustin Johnson, who drives like a beast on crack but cant hit a green from 120 yards if you gave him all day, he will probably win it.... that drive is going to be priceless, do I change?? I know if I don't he will finish high, and if I do Ill be pissed off because I knew it wasn't his course!!!

Justin Leonard also might be a good pick with his short game and putting, but he is nowhere near the top 100.... #nostalgia!
