As the group that plays in the Golf FLs is fairly consistent, I thought it would be a good idea to produce an overall annual table

The scoring system is pretty basic:

1st place in each of the 5 (6 in Ryder Cup years) tournaments = 10 points
2nd place = 7 points
3rd place = 5 points
4th place = 3 points
5th place = 1 point

The overall score is calculated using the best 4 scores (from 5) or 5 (from 6) tournaments.

I will take a look through the ideas put forward at the end and come up with an amended scoring system.

Wouldn't it be better to calculate the total under par score for all tournaments?

I did think of that, but dismissed it on the grounds that par measures the difficulty of the course rather than the skill of the FL player. Also, how would the Ryder Cup be scored in the same way?
