Last year I thought too many people were predicting us too low a finish (and I was proved correct). This year I think too many people are predicting us too high a finish.

Europa League football will no doubt take a lot out of us (I can see us losing today, having been in Holland on Thursday), and we haven't improved our squad like others have - Palace, Swansea, Newcastle etc. We've made signings yes, and some of them I have really high hopes for. But they're just signings to replace what we have lost. They've not signings to improve either the quality, or the depth, of our squad.

Oh, and Everton wont be burdened by the EL this season. So there's every chance that they'll go and retake their place in the top eight.

If you offered me 10th place now, I would take it.
