From experience, the bookies can be bashed when it comes to cricket betting.
Back in the day when Durham were really good, Blue Square offered something like 18/1 for Durham to win the Pro40 Division 2 title and that was on the back of reaching the Friends Provident Trophy Final. I placed an each way bet and came out £240 richer.
This year a bookie attempted an outright market on the Womens World T20 tournament leading wicket taker. I stuck a fiver on Leigh Kasperek at around 17.75/1, also backed about £6 for her to be New Zealand's leading bowler at something like 3.75/1. She did it by virtue of least runs conceded on both bets, nice return of about £100.

Yeah surprised how much they didn't actually research in the markets.
the only one they did good at was in the mens T20 competition.
Although doubt people would complain means their a window to make some money.

I've begun the climb up the leaderboard, but with so many of my substitutes scoring poorly after coming in for injured players, who suddenly made miraculous recoveries and have been scoring heavily, it feels like I have no chance of winning this FL

Technically Bresnan was recovering from injury at the start of the T20 Blast, but Yorkshire had a bye week and he was scheduled to be back for the following week.
