I took Shah out at the last minute because I thought Pakistan would lose the series, and I had picked 4 Pakistanis.

Like first day of the Open, the leaderboard includes rookies, longshots and amateurs, who will rapidly make way over the next few rounds. In this case, Arthur Crabtree. Only to be stuck in a bunker on the thirteenth when the old claret jug is presented.

A Cunning Plan on my part , AC

Expecting Jimmy to miss the first match and foreseeing Woakes as the most likely to take "his" wickets...

OK , actually a lucky guess.

Don't suppose many people will have Woakes in their five anyway ? Still might come in handy later if anyone gets injured...

But for Alfie, no Woakes, no problem. Sustained by a realistic appraisal of what Alastair Cook brings to the points table.

Due to the downturn in the world economy and the collapse of global capitalism, I was unable to sell off sponsorship for this competition. So I'm giving off the space to charities and the public sector. Typically, it has taken them too long to get their act together, so there was nothing in place for the Lord's Test. Now we're up and running. Cash application to the usual office.

Fantasy League after the second Test, as sponsored by Aylesbury Council's War On Fly-Posting Campaign.
