Ah ok understand what you mean think the odi players only miss the final/Semis and the last few league games they play 80% of the league.
first odi starts on the 15.
Think they have to report back to india on the 9th or 10th of jan.

which is not what i asked

the BBL starts almost 4 weeks before the ODI series in india

are any of the england ODI squad that are listed in the BBL squads going to available for any of the BBL, i only asky as Andy has Roy in his team

there is an article on cricinfo about billings that suggests he will be available for part of the BBL before going to India, i was just wondering if anyone knew how many games they would be available for before heading to India before picking any of the England players

no problem thought you meant if the players with bash contract might not play it if they get selected for india or something.
be interesting to see what Strauss does though since I think england are actually due in india on the 4th/5th.
They have a few warm ups and acclimatising time for the odi series but will Strauss think Bash is a better preparation for the series.
I would personally allow the players till the 10th or 11th depending on games/dates, 4-5 days should be enough for ODI especially with odi pitches being very similar throughout the world and in reality the players would learn more or be better prepared playing high quality cricket in Australia than some crap nets in India or some substandard warm up games on pitches unlikely to be anything like the odi pitches.

EDIT was right first time around they due in india on the 8-9th first warm up game on the 10th and then 12th with the first game on the 15th.
Thought I read from Newman that england were due to fly couple of days after new years but looks like they get a decent break for Christmas.
