Couple of other Stokers coming in right at the end.

My thinking was that it was a safe pick knowing there were 2 replacements, then if he does make it for the last 2 or 3 tests it's a happy bonus... and he'd be playing with a bit of a point to prove. Made sense to me, and seemingly to Ian and Red too. Time will tell

I'm looking forward to this, Arthur. It's my only available point of contact with this years ashes, which has to be good for the long term health of the game

I'll watch some on internet streams, but I really don't like watching stuff on my computer.

Not sure the ECB have any control over who gets the rights to these Ashes or any away series. It's up to CA who they make deals with, and up to the successful bidder who highlights are spun off to.

You could argue that CA will benefit by cricket being healthy in the UK the long run, but if the ECB are so careless about that, I'm not convinced CA going to be too far sighted.

TBH ca sold the fta right to bt sports.
Ca had two right for the tender pay and free the free one went to bt sports as well.
It was meant to be a game a week of the big bash on the free channel and highlights of the Australia games but they seemed to scrap that now.
Looks like ca don’t really care what bt sports do and are happy with the limited freeness of the ashes.
