2018 All Year Fantasy Competition

Postby The Professor » Fri Dec 29, 2017 1:02 pm

Rules are simple but turn around is swift.

By 12 tomorrow, everyone who has signed up on this thread is in the game. We each pick two players who will represent us throughout the year IN ALL COMPETITIONS irregardless if it is a packed out Test at Lords or some kind of poxy T20 tournament in Abu Dhabi.

The points will be the same as they are for ODI fantasy tournaments no matter what the format.

Batting

1 point for every run scored
A batsman scoring 50 will receive a 20pt bonus, with another 10pts for every further 50 runs scored
(ie. 50 = 20pts, 100 = 30pts, 150 = 40pts, 200+= 50pts)
A batsman scoring at least 20 runs, will receive.....
10 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 80-99
20 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 100-149
30 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 150-199
40 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 200+

Bowling
20pts per wicket
20 bonus pts for a 3fer
30 bonus pts for a 5fer
5 bonus pts per maiden over
A bowler who has bowled at least 3 overs will receive.....
10 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=6.0
20 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=5.0
30 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=4.0
(ie. an ER of 4.25 scores 20pts)

Fielding
10 points per catch or stumping
20 points per run out, or 10 points each, if two players share the responsibility
10 bonus points for 3 contributions with catches, stumpings or run outs.

We need quite a structured way of picking players though otherwise who ever sees this thread first will get the two best. At 12 tomorrow I will put those interested in an order randomly. They will then have their first pick in that order. The second pick will then work backwards up that list I.e. Whoever was the last to pick their first choice will be the first on their second.

Sign up and be merry.

Let's see how quickly we can get round to two selections and I'll see if we have time for a third or fourth

think you misread him durham.
if anything proff one got a lot of stuff considering if I am correct it will be on every single cricket game played in 2017, all domestic cricket, all international cricket and all t20 games.
it does probably need to be mentioned what competitions are included in the league.
I would personally just do
Big bash
T20 blast
IPL
PSL
Bangladesh T20 league
Actually all the t20 franchise leagues
English domestic season
indian domestic season
Australian domestic season.

will get too much work if you include the other domestic leagues.

1 Cricket Major
2019 IPL Season.

I have every intention of including every ball hit or delivered by that player in any competition that is featured on Cricinfo's batabase.

That, gentlemen, is my vow.
