I always get confused by the KO format, but I think everyone's remaining players are still intact

Match 2: 3rd v 4th - Winner into Match 3 & Loser out

A more meritocratic method than the usual 1 v 4 & 2 v 3 semi-finals, plus an extra game to sell tickets and TV rights for...

...having already deemed most CWC group matches immaterial, with only four Nations qualifying for the knock-out section, it comes as little surprise to see which system was chosen by the ICC
