are they doing one of those funny things where the top 2 teams in each group automatically go through to a semi, to be beaten by a side that has just won a KO match in the QF's?

or are there QF's as normal?

the toppers who go straight through, go straight through after only playing 4 day red ball cricket, whilst their SF opponents have had a nice little practice under lots of pressure and will go in to their SF as a finely tuned, superbly honed, red hot unit

I think it's fair to say that the semi finalists have caught almost all of us on the hop

Probably only BN has an outside chance of chasing Red down, but 'outside chance' is likely to be wildly optimistic

what is clear is that Vince must fail or not play in the semi, and Hants must lose
