Ginger takes the lead from ian with a very strong round performance. Not much change elsewhere in the leaderboard, though plenty still to play for as the points per match increase from the next round.

Notes:

Upset of the round: No surprises that no-one saw South Korea's historic defeat of Germany coming. That might be the upset of the World Cup's 70 year history. But none of the players expected the other group F game to end with Sweden victory either.

Prediction of the round: Well done to Gingerfinch, for getting Iran's 1-1 draw with Portugal spot on, while no-one else predicted a draw from the game. Honourable mention to the Professor for being the only player to correctly call the result (but not the exact score) of both Spain-Morocco and Saudi Arabia-Egypt.

Most predictable game: Unlike the previous two rounds, there was no game that all 8 players predicted the result of - the best was 6/8. Brazil's defeat of Serbia therefore takes the prize, with six correct results - of those three were perfect scores, and two more correctly predicted the two-goal margin.
