Resurrecting this again.

Despite my fearsome reputation as a bowler - 32% of my wickets came against tail-enders.

I think I have 4 possibles, maybe I am way off, but there you go.

The first is Warne. When people take on the task of the Murali v Warne comparison, the narrative always turns to quality of wickets. In Warnes favour, he played more tough tests, but the counter is always that Warne took a lot of wickets against the tail. So Warne might be a good shout. But nearly a third seems crazy high.

The second is Mitchell Starc.... only because its a consistent criticism of his bowling that he fluffs his figures with late order wickets... but I dont know the facts behind those attacks.

So that leaves two players who played together, Kumble and Harbi.

I remember reading a long time ago an analysis about how various players took wickets in each position and what not through out the history of the game. Zaheer Khan ranked as the player with the least tail-end wicket proportion, but in the top 10 or so also ranked pretty much all the Indian quick bowlers who played around that era.... Srinath, Munaf, Pathan...they were all right at the top of the all time list for lowest amount of wickets taken at the end of innings.

Which makes you think if these all took the least wickets against the tail, then someone was bowling these sides out..... but maybe the two cancel each other out with high totals, but not that high.

But oh well....I will pick Harbi Singh
