DFM maintains a slender lead at the top, but it's still very little between the top 3.

Otherwise, not too many changes to the leaderboard. A big leap up the rankings for Doctor Cricket on the back of a big wicket haul for Shami, and some improvement for mike on the same basis. Otherwise the players who performed in the last game by and large performed in this game. Kohli was the big exception, but as mentioned before, he hardly counts as everyone picked him, except for AP who drifts down.

All to play for in the series, but the three posters who selected Lyon are going to be tough to catch in the fantasy game.

See you on Boxing Day.

I will have to enjoy being top for one more day, because if any of the 4 behind have Pat Cummins, then I'm out

Player scores for the third test

Australia

Cummins 326

DAYLIGHT

Paine 98
Khawaja 94
Hazlewood 86
Starc 81
Shaun Marsh 73
Head 54
Lyon 43
Finch 31
Mitch Marsh 27

India

Bumrah 224
Pujara 136
Kohli 112
Pant 112
Rohit Sharma 88
Ishant Sharma 76
Shami 68
Rahane 45
Vijay dnp
Ashwin dnp
B Kumar dnp
Shaw dnp
Kuldeep Yadav dnp

A generally low scoring test, with two standout individual exceptions in Bumrah and Cummins. Cummins' effort compared to the rest of the Australian team is extraordinary. For the third match in a row, and Australian bowler leads the rankings, but Australia find themselves 2-1 down. It just goes to show the old adage that cricket is a team game made up of individual performances.

A rather stark contrast here between those that picked Cummins (most of whom also had Bumrah), and those who didn't...

DFM's combo of Lyon, Starc and Hazlewood finally lets him down, and he surrenders the lead. It's still very tight at the top, as alfie and meninblue duke it out. The final winner is likely to be decided by which of the Australian bowlers performs best in Sydney, although alfie has Pant as a possible trump card.

Meanwhile, andy is restored back to five players, but one of them is unfortunately Mitch Marsh, so doesn't help him much, and he stays on the bottom of the table. Can the Marsh brothers turn it around in Sydney and lift andy off the bottom? Will Kohli finally fail allowing AP to profit at everyone else's expense? We'll find out in around a week.

Difference of 21 points. Rishabh versus Starc.

Starc has performed way below expectations. Unless he gets a 5 wicket haul in one of the innings, it's very tough for him to get ahead of Rishabh. The only positive is he is due. The negative is he is out of form.

Could be a close finish ! Looks like you or me , Adi ? Think the Reds are too far back ?

Of course , someone could get injured...
