that's a blow. I was secretly hoping that he might have been back for the final, now that he is out of the BBL

New Zealand Cricket have been clearly keeping an eye on this Fantasy League and have decided to release Mitchell Santner for the Super Smash Final.

This is going to be close, a 4 way race going into the final :scared

both the SS and the BBL finals are on at the same time. This will be the more interesting of the two

both competitions have been underwhelming, I think. Not enough matches, often enough. Been a bit like pulling teeth.

seems a shocking waste of quite a lot of the available cricket season

although... if the T20 blast was played at a rate of one match a day, the telly wouldn't just be able to show matches involving mostly London touching counties. Durham, Derby, Leics and Glam would get more than the minimum 2 matches a season

I was going to say that I probably won't even finish 2nd, but looking at Adi's boys, I might not even finish 3rd

Seems it was Adi who peaked at just the right time, after all.

Northern bring all their stars back for the final.... and then get thumped. It always seems to happen that way. That final might have been the only match that Southee played. Serves them right

The long time leader snatches glory on the final day. Arguably, it was Milne who won him the title. Who'd have thought it?

congrats to Adi, Central districts, and McConchie

Commiserations to AP, but if it's of any consolation, Adi knows exactly what it's like to lose a title on the final day by a handful of runs, because I think I did the same thing to him in the IPL a few years ago

Junior gets the confectionery. and andy wins another spoon

BBL had 56 group matches for 8 sides over 54 days, then 2 Semi-Finals and a Final over 4.
I'm guessing all televised?

SSL had 32 matches for 6 sides over 50 days, then an Qualimifier and a Final over 3.
Not sure at all about TV...

Blast had 126 group matches for 18 sides over 45 days, then 4 Quarter-Finals and a Finals Day.
Current TV deal has 36 games.

32 matches over 50 days

feels like a waste of the summer
