The Aussie domestic season starts here, a few hours before the men's one day cup, with the revamped WNCL. Expanded from 6 rounds to 8 and with most of the international players available for most of the time, Cricket Australia hope that this (along with a standalone WBBL) will further develop their women's game..... which is admirable given that they are already light years ahead of the rest

Who wouldn't want to be a part of something exciting, developmental, innovative and forward thinking that may not make any money but may just look after the long term health of the women's game.... not the ECB that's for sure...... but you can be better than that, by entering your team in this year's WNCL fantasy league and in doing so show your dissatisfaction at, and your contempt for, the self serving, money grabbers at cricket HQ


Rules

Pick 11 players, no substitutes allowed

Scoring

Batting

1 point for every run scored
A batter scoring 50 will receive a 20pt bonus, with another 10pts for every further 50 runs scored
(ie. 50 = 20pts, 100 = 30pts, 150 = 40pts, 200+= 50pts)
A batter scoring at least 20 runs, will receive.....
10 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 70-79
20 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 80-99
30 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 100-149
40 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 150+

Bowling

20pts per wicket
20 bonus pts for a 3fer
30 bonus pts for a 5fer
5 bonus pts per maiden over
A bowler who has bowled at least 3 overs will receive.....
10 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=5.0
20 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=4.0
30 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=3.0

Fielding

10 points per catch or stumping
20 points per run out, or 10 points each, if two players share the responsibility
10 bonus points for 3 contributions with catches, stumpings or run outs.

first match starts on 21st Sept at 1000 local time, which if I've got this right is likely to be 0100 BST, teams to be in by 0030 at the latest........ earlier would be appreciated in case my international time zone skills are less than they should be

probably not given that crapinfo don't usually bother themselves and I have to go trawling the CA website for scorecards and so on

apologies my laptop keyboard doesn't work so basically can only use mouse and virtual keyboard.
so basically got lazy to type the team out sorry, plus was a pain to find out what team they play for as well.
by the way good reason to not do the competition don't think cricinfo covering the competition this year so be hard work getting the results as well.
