I rather fancied a one off title, tbh. It would have enhanced the CV for a very long time...... a bit like holding the world record for the 300m

the good news is that the BWT might (I think) be back next year, as the Bob Willis Trophy for one more year (I think) before it becomes the County Championship again (I think), so hopefully I'll get another bite at the cherry (maybe)

It's a shame that it isn't a Derby -v- Essex final, because that would have been a tasty, winner takes all, shoot out between Porter and Reece to decide the FL. Unfortunately Derby weren't up to the job and Somerset were.
