Quetta Gladiators

Who am I?

Global Franchise cricket outside the main three T20s is my kryptonite, so I havent a clue on this one, other than the fact these are new competitions, so its a current player.

All I really know about the UAE T20 is its a competition that has loads of English players who dont play in the national team in it, and because it overlaps with the Southern Hemisphere season, very little from elsewhere.

So as a complete guess, Moeen Ali?

Along the same lines I'm wondering Alex Hales as he's now a T20 mercenary. But he was playing big bash not that long ago, has he got around that many other franchises?

I dont think its Roy, because him and Buttler were in South Africa very recently playing together, and I remember specifically wondering why on God's Earth had South African Cricket put one of the 6 franchises in Paarl, as its in the middle of nowhere (and I dont think its even the biggest of the Winelands towns in the region....)

So he wasn't at Joburg...

I think Jason Roy is too sexy a player for the Abu Dhabi competition too. I was thinking more along the lines of the Ravi Bopara's and Laurie Evans of this world, not an England limited overs legend.

sorry Prof, it can't have been. When I thought I'd got it wrong, I looked him up. His most recent SA franchise, as recent as earlier this month, was Paarl Royals not Joburg

his last match in SA20 was against Joburg, but not for them
