Thank you for pointing that out, as I think all my selections are null and void. I didnt notice this rule in the OP.

Question for the Prof - Does the top 6 requirement apply to all leagues equally? Quite a lot of leagues in Europe are 10-12 teams, so 6th place is just around mid-table or bottom half in some leagues. And its worth noting also that alot of league separate later in the year into Championship/relegation rounds, so not being able to pick anything under top 6 completely writes off a lot of leagues after the New Year. Understand with the majority of leagues, not picking dominant teams is sensible and makes it interesting, but 6th place in Scotland can mean you are in a relegation battle still.

As an example, I wanted to pick a game in the Armenian Premier League 4th v 10th this week..... its a ten team league, so really 4th would be a midtable team....

Top 6 is just easier to manage.....we could move to top third but I think that muddies the water so will stay with Top 6

If you really struggling, then literally pick any random home team playing in Brazil or Bolivia, and then more than 50% of the time you will be right. Latin American leagues have horrendous win records for away teams, as places like Argentina and Brazil, away teams have to enter what is essentially a violent war zone to play - and in the Andean Countries, you routinely get teams from the jungle having to spend the weekend at 4,000m on the frigid altiplano, and routinely get a hiding ( an the opposite, having to leave 15 degrees and play at 100% humidity and 40 degree heat doesnt prove that easy either). Peru, Colombia, Argentina... think its roughly the same, away teams really struggle to win.

Indonesia used to be the safest bet in world football, as literally no one ever got a result away from home - but since the league was suspended after that crowd disaster, the government has gone hard at the violent elements at clubs, and teams now start to get points away when they dont spend 90 minutes just wanting to make it out the stadium alive.

going from bad to worse, for me

I've stopped bothering with draws and have gone straight to unexpected home defeats to teams at the bottom of the league

Are we still picking teams this week, albeit from the low leagues, or are we taking a sabbatical?
