we are heading towards that happy time again, with the cold weather, the rain and the wind a distant memory (a forlorn hope, but it's all we have)

Rules

Pick 11 players from this division. No substitutes are allowed so choose wisely. Any players going out on loan to other counties will only continue to be awarded points if they play for a team in the same division

Scoring

Batting

1 point per run.
+10 for a score of 50.
+10 for every further increment of 50 scored.
If a batsman is not out after 50 = +10, after 100 = +15, after 200 = +25 etc....

Fielding

10 points per catch or stumping
20 points per run out, or 10 points each, if two players share the responsibility
10 bonus points for 3 contributions with catches, stumpings or run outs

Bowling

20 points per wicket
2 points per maiden over
+10 for 5 wickets in the match
+20 for 5 wickets in an innings
+30 for 10 wickets in the match
+50 for 10 wickets in an innings
+30 for a hat trick

for some reason, squads are hard to come by, so you may have to go searching for yourself

Somebody has won this 3 years on the trot.... I wish I could remember who

First match starts on 4th April, teams to be in before the first toss.

They did have Jack Burnham in the Durham squad for several years after he was released, so they were pretty rubbish anyway.

I'm thinking of Benco as my wild card. No one will pick him because he'll be injured. But if he isn't injured he'll stack up huge amounts of competition winning points....

he was fit last season and mostly fit the season before that

missed the first half of the '22 season, but ever present in the second half

1500 points last year
1000 points the year before
500 points in '22

Fair enough. 12 matches last season. I'll settle for something similar this time.
