If Essex's game is washed out, Glamorgan will pip them to 4th if they can get their game on, and win it. If Essex's game goes ahead, then that open up the chance of Gloucs (or Glamorgan) to overtake Essex. But it also opens up the chance of Essex jumping into 2nd and getting a home QF.

Can you say that again please.

A 5-over aside thrash has just been confirmed between Glam and Gloucs, subject to the rain. 8.57 start, which is the very latest they can start. Gloucs have won the toss and will bowl.

If Glam win, even if by just one run, they will pip Essex to 4th place and be rewarded with an away QF vs Brum.

Nothing Essex can do but sit and wait.

Jayawardena returns for Sussex tomorrow. I think it will be the first time that they have him and Bailey in their team together. Jordan also returns from injury.

Meanwhile, Bell, Buttler and Moeen will all place for their respective counties having been made available by the ECB. Cook was also made available, but Essex have opted against selecting him.

Was looking forward to going to the #youbears game on Thursday. A quick look at the forecast and it could be a washout!

Sussex really struggling after a cracking start.

Jordan better bowl bloody well after that effort with the bat.

Innings of two halves.

Inevitably so much will come down to how Northants start. They're capable of smashing their way through the powerplay. But they're also capable of being 40-5.

There are bad days, then there's scoring 6 off 12 in a T20 followed up by having 18 taken off your first over.

Not exactly his day.

(Not that I'm disappointed. Like Dernbach and others, I don't see Jordan as being good enough to deserve to play international cricket. So when they get smashed around in county cricket, a part of me does always feel quite good. Now that's not sporting of you, Brendy).
