The Sydney Thunder won a game!

It's the Sydney Sixers up against the Slowbart Hurricanes tonight. The Sixers are batting first. These two teams are third and fourth respectively, as we creep up to the business end of this comp.

Hurricanes looking good halfway through their innings . Hundred up for one.

Expect them to blow their opponents away...

Although in the middle overs, the spin certainly started to come to the fore, allowing the Sixers to even up the match a heck of a lot.

Hobart needing 46 off the last 4 overs, after Owais Shah just got out. You'd think that Hobart would be pleased to see him dismissed - he is a bit of a deadweight at the moment. even the full-tosses and long-hops he was getting onto were only going 30-40 metres. Lost his power, timing and confidence.

As I would consider getting rid of him if I ran the Hurricanes outfit, I would get rid of Marcus North if I was in charge of the Sixers. He shouldn't be in a T20 match of any description.

Smith puts himself back on the fence at mid-off. Catches an on-fire Birt the very next ball. SIxers favourite now. 16 off 8 balls.

Especially now Gulbis is bowled the very next ball. Lee to bowl last over....

Hazelwood's hattrick ball lands in the middle of 3 fieldsmen.

14 of last over needed.

Some good fielding , but I think Hobart rather choked there.

agree. As they did against Perth last week. The only close one they have won has been that great run chase against the heat. We were set for a similar finish tonight, but to no avail.
