Big Bash League 2013/14

With the season still some months away, the signing up of free agents has been taking place in Oz. The biggest coup so far would have to be Mike Hussey being picked up by Sydney Thunder. The Thunder have been the BBL's worst team thus far by a distance, so hopefully bringing in Hussey will prove to be an inspired move. Marcus North is also moving east, to the Sydney Sixers, along with Nathan Lyon. Peter Siddle and James Pattinson have both been signed for the Melbourne Renegades, who have also resigned Murali. The Melbourne Stars have announced that Warney won't be back, and will instead be captained by Cameron White.

Channel 10 have signed the rights to televise the BBL for the next 5 years. They've added Gilly to the commentary team that they have brought over from Foxtell. Hopefully the free-to-air exposure will help attract bigger crowds. It prpmises to be yet another cracking summer of high octane action, and I will be there. I can't wait!

Mitchell Johnson is also moving to the Brisbane Heat, and I think Shaun Tait has gone in that direction too, which would make the defending champions a very formidable unit.

I really don't get this , out of everyone you could sign for a T20 tournament why Tremlett .

Never really watched this before , do sky broadcast it I assume over here in the UK or does someone else have the rights?

Dave Warner has signed for the Sydney Thunder, returning to western Sydney, where his BBL kicked off. All I can say about that is I hope he has a good car alarm!
