I'm surprised as well. Although he did not play as well for Sunrisers (2014) as he did for Pune warriors (2013), he is a valuable player and should have been retained imo.

Not surprised CSK have released Hastings. They hardly played him.

Mumbai have spent huge on players we want. We have released Michael Hussey. Hence i think we should try to get at least one of Finch and Kallis amongst foreign players.

Alex Hales is another top order player we should look to purchase to replace Michal Hussey.

Dont know about that. If that is the case then we should try to bid for Finch or Alex. In local openers Murali Vijay.

dont rate Vijay in limited overs cricket..... not a great of fan of him in tests, but he's doing ok...but in limited overs im not convinced

2nd best Test opener going around, after Warner. Averaged close to 50 across 9 Tests in Aus and Eng. I'd say thats a bit more than "ok". Certainly miles ahead of a certain Sunrisers slogger.

He had few good IPL seasons. Then did not perform as much in past two. However, when in form he is one the better domestic openers. Has a IPL 100.

Players we should not have even bought for free:
Vinay Kumar - Flop each and every seasons.. I think Kumble who is our mentor got the Karnataka bowler in our squad Some very bad decissions have been taken by MI management (Sachin,Ponting,Kumble) last year.

Players franchisees should not buy even if free:
Dinda- Flop every IPL season. In fact franchisees are lucky RCB haven't released Dinda in auction pool

When did MI get Vinay Kumar? Wasn't it Praveen that they got midway through the tournament to replace Zak last season?

Vinay Kumar has already been purchased this year along with Unmukt Chand. This was done last month i think.
