Got enough chances but could not convert the opportunity. Even Harmeet who was hyped failed to live up to the expectations. Axar who was not at all hyped was the standout young emerging player.

Vinay Kumar has already been purchased :no this year along with Unmukt Chand. This was done last month i think.

Transfer deal, I presume. You can't "purchase" an internationally capped cricketer outside the auctions. In fact, last year, they also had uncapped players in the auction.

Either way, not a great choice.

Transfer is probably what happened, not purchase. My mistake :thumb

IPL auction tomorrow.

Three players who have attracted the maximum base price of Rs. 2 crore (approx $0.33 million): India allrounder Yuvraj Singh, former England batsman and captain Kevin Pietersen, South Africa Test captain Hashim Amla and India wicket-keeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik.

KP went for a very low figure. Eoin Morgan was even less.

KP is a bargin at that price, clearly a reflection of his poor performance prior to th Big Bash. Struggling to understand why Ravi snaffled an offer though.

KP £205,000
Morgan £156,000
Bopara £100,000

Hales, Carberry, Sanga, Mahela and Dilshan all unsold.

Topical question - who gets the tax on their IPL earnings?

These auction values are they the salaries of the players?

Yes, that is the salary. I think KP has very less compared to what he got last year if was bif only once as CF said. Dont remember how much he fetched last year but lastt time there was intense bidding for him.
