This has to be the most ridiculous way to settle whom should be top:

21.9.2 Where teams have an equal number of points their relative positions shall be determined by the following:

a. the team with the most wins in matches in the League during the season will be placed in the higher position;

b. if there are teams with equal points and equal wins during the season, then in such case the team with the higher net run rate (as calculated in clause 21.11 below) will be placed in the higher position;

c. if following the net run rate calculation above there are teams which are still equal, then the team with the higher number of wickets taken per fair balls bowled in the matches played that season in which results were achieved will be placed in the higher position;

You can't necessarily be deemed to be better than a team on the same number of points just because you have more wins and they may have had games washed out. Secondly the shortened version of cricket is about one thing only and that is run rate. You could take 10 wickets every game you play and still lose every single game.

Why can't they just keep it simple...................Most points, followed by highest run rate. No two teams will ever likely have the same run rate.

I agree Steve, "C" is by far the most farcical criteria I have ever seen in the one day format.

What are the odds of two teams having the same net run rate, and has it ever actually happened in any competition of 20/20 or ODI's?

Vinay Kumar has already been purchased :no this year along with Unmukt Chand. This was done last month i think.

As anticipated Vinay Kumar has actually turned out as one of the worst transfers or probably the worst transfer of this season. I hope we sell him asap like other franchisee happily sold him to us :horse and buy some at least average bowler to replace him. Hope we dont buy Dinda as legends replacement though :scared I think Kumble who comes from Karnataka and is MI mentor as well has got Vinay Kumar in our team. :hmmm

That was a good little cameo from Pollard...41 from just 17 balls, including five sixes.
:clap
Smith out for a duck...poor decision, apparently. Illingworth needs a new pair of glasses.
