I thought Surrey were holding out.

My hope is that Middlesex going public will perhaps stiffen the resolve of wavering counties to follow their action.

Essex join Middlesex in stating they will vote against the ECB proposals. Let's hope there's more to come.

Unfortunately Durham come out the other way.

Durham are lucky to make £1300 from T20, never mind £1.3M without having to take part.

besides.... Durham have a new puppet master these days

the clubs who are fighting (or thinking about fighting) the proposals are the ones who have already made a financial success of the current arrangement, and don't want to risk it. There is certainly nothing altruistic about their position

I believe both Essex and Middlesex consulted their members who opposed the plan, did Durham do that and are all counties doing so? I get the impression that the CEO's of most counties are making the decisions without consultation.

I thought the ECB weren't interested in existing fans and member's views. It's people who don't know they like cricket yet who's approval they seek.

Clubs consulting their members before deciding to a significant constitutional change is hardly remarkable, on the contrary not consulting them would be a disgrace.

I'm on the same side of the issue as most county cricket followers. But I think that is how the ECB see it. They're not interested in what the members think.

Over the years the ECB committee has taken full power for the running of cricket and the clubs have allowed them to do so. I think the fact that many clubs are virtually dependant on a wealthy benefactor for their survival has accelerated this process because these wealthy individuals believe in corporate structures. I'm sure in their business world they rarely if ever consuted their shareholders.

I wonder if the franchise model the ECB are pushing would leave the counties (if that's what they remain) being run by the ECB themselves. Just a theory.

Currently the relationship is symbiotic. The ECB provide subsidies, and the counties produce players and facilities. Maybe being beholden to the counties that much won't be satisfactory to the ECB. But at the moment, the ECB are getting plenty for their largesse.

Technically abstained, which means Kent are open to the idea of a flagship T20 tournament but not at expense to the domestic game.

Just 8 more no or abstained votes to defeat the current proposals.

Yes: Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Somerset, Sussex and Leicestershire
No: Essex, Kent, Middlesex

Who else has already voted?
