Australia have further international commitments with a tour to New Zealand and a limited overs tour to South Africa before the World Twenty20.
Cricket Australia could have scheduled the domestic tournaments better. BBL05 could have started a week or so earlier so limited overs specialists can play the whole tournament. Also the domestic season could have started with Sheffield Shield action instead of BBQ cup, especially when Australia had six test matches scheduled between early November and early January.
