Well, wonders will never cease. The Melbourne Stars roll the Perth Scorchers for 94, and will host a semi final... and I will be there! It will be a rematch with the Scorchers, with the Adelaide Strikers hosting the Sydney Thunder.

Assuming the Stars do lose tonight, the Renegades can even afford a narrow loss on Monday. They have slightly the better NRR, and a touch up from the Scorchers will even widen that gap.

Renegades have to win. They are two points before the Stars.

Ah, yeah. That would make a difference.

Not that it matters now.

If the Renegades have a good win over Adelaide, they will play the Strikers (again) in the semi in Adelaide, and the Thunder are out.

Renegades need to win by at least 38 runs or chase a total down inside 15.3 overs.

Part timer Head has 3 wickets! Could be handy with the WT20 coming up...

The international matches in Australia are making an impact on squad availability for the Big Bash Finals.

A shame that the affected players can't turn out for their teams in the finals, especially when the World Twenty20 is two months away.

Blame Cricket Australia for scheduling a meaningless ODI series in the middle of Big Bash season (or is it vice versa). They could easily have run the ODI series a couple of weeks later, but I guess they're trying to pack as much as possible into the school holidays.

Not been following this much but saw the highlights of Gayle's 50 yesterday.
