Stating the bleeding obvious that Northants are going to miss him badly.

think they would be missing him a bit anyway as I see him being a regular in both ODIs and t20s for England now but still going to be a big loss

and hes got bell now as well

warks 14-4

a lot of the hype about him had been about his batting and how dangerous he was as a late innings slogger but I have been really impressed with his bowling this year and he is showing that again today

Northants better have the sense to keep Willey on for at least one more over. A 5th wicket in the powerplay, and Northants will have one foot in the final already.

Willey is a class bowler.

Terrible cricket from Birmingham. Evans is their most destructive player and he comes in with 10 balls to go!

Yes that was puzzling. Not sure what their think was behind that.

I don't blame them for holding him back when they fell 4 wickets down. There had only been four overs! I'm sure they didn't envisage Clarke and Javid then batting about 15 overs between them.

Clarke seemed to try to his best to get out, but kept on failing. But Javid though, from about 14 overs onwards he should have just started to hit out - knowing full well that Evans is waiting to get in.

Clarke could have just run himself out.

Warks busy 'doing a Durham'.... or at least attempting to emulate the kind of T20 knockout that Durham deal in

start off by losing your top order cheaply and catastrophically, and then spend the rest of the innings going at less than a run a ball trying to scrape together some sort of poor total. If this was Durham playing, Northants would knock off the target with 8 overs to spare
