Giving the ball to Coles when Gayle is on strike is lauaghable. Although no doubt Gayle would have destroyed anyone.

14 off 3 required - Gayle on strike.

Mitch has bowled a good last over.

61 ball 151.... and he is on the losing side....

Must be the biggest score in a T20 while losing?

It still bugs me that we let him go.

Yep. Overtakes Cameron White's 141* (which was also for Somerset) back in 2006.

the CPL finishes in late July so Gayle would be available if the other Somerset batsmen can learn how to score.

Only need to get him out once on Finals Day (if Somerset get there) though...

...the 'better' T20 batsmen were on the losing side in both semi-finals year :)

County bowling is a bit too easy for Chris Gayle...

Gayle hits 85 not out of 49 balls, four boundaries and eight sixes...played against Fidel, who did pretty well, with four overs, 1-20.
:clap

Sky use this Batting Index (Average + SR) in T20 to rate batsmen. A good score is usually 160+. For this tournament Gayle's batting index is over 500!

Even if it was over 500,000, he's not going to help Somerset win many games after next Saturday :hide

Why did the Essex coach/captain pick Cook?

Deserve not to make the QFs with such buffoonery!

Great game between Yorks and Lancs.

Terrific last 6 overs from Butler to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
