Kevin Pietersen, Tim, and Luke Wright are England players who are set to play in the PSL, with Chris Gayle and Lasith Malinga. It feels unexpected that international cricketers are going to play in Pakistan. Is this a gateway for full international cricket to return to the country?

Another competition to get steam coming out of the ECB's ears.

I was under the impression that the PSL was to be played in the UAE. I can't imagine many top players being willing to go to Pakistan after there was a suicide bombing outside a ground during the Zimbabwe series.

UAE and Qatar have both been mentioned as a venue.

From what I've read, the PSL will be staged in the UAE, and I reckon it will be a great success.

Don't tell the ECB though.

If they ask tell them it was a disaster and T20 is rubbish.

If it's the UAE, it's just a competition for tv really. I wonder if there's be more interest if it was an emirates cup, with teams representing that 'country', just with all the Pakistani players involved.

Just what cricket needs another T20 competition with many of the same stars participating. It's reminiscent of the Harlem Globetrotters.

We're not far away from a Masters tournament for retired cricketers.

Obviously there is a circuit for the usual suspects. But I guess each league has a core of players from the host country.

I wonder if the players in the Bangladesh league ever got paid.

Some got paid by the bookies (allegedly).
