So to date

Bopara
Bresnan
Wright
Jordan
Dernbach
Pietersen
Panesar
Taylor
Anderson

Well Anderson doesn't have to save himself for ODIs anymore. I take it that these players have got permission to play from the ECB.

Being played in Dubai and Sharjah the crowd at ground will be less for most matches except on Friday. And it does not has strong player pool like IPL or Big Bash to gather as many television viewers. Big names are important in marketing the tournament and it's popularity.

It's being played from 4 Feb - 24 Feb. Not sure whether it clashes with Asia cup.

Obviously there is a circuit for the usual suspects. But I guess each league has a core of players from the host country.

Most overseas stars will be on international duty during the PSL, Sri Lanka and West Indies happen to not be playing any cricket during February. With only five franchises it appears the tournament is more orientated towards the top players of Pakistan, as preparation for the World Twenty20 than a tournament designed to attract overseas players.
