And in front of a packed crowd at Providence, Guyana crushed Jamaica by seven wickets with two overs to spare. Left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul took 3-20, and there were two wickets each for Sohail Tanvir, Rayad Emrit and Adam Zampa, as the hosts bowled Jamaica out for a paltry 100, Rovman Powell topscoring with a run-a-ball 38. Chris Lynn then hit a run-a-ball 39 not out to guide Guyana to victory, while spinner Imad Wasim bowled four overs for a remarkable two wickets and just six runs.

Guyana crushed St Kitts-Nevis by four wickets with nearly four overs to spare. Legspinner Adam Zampa took 3-18 to restrict St Kitts-Nevis to 108-8, for whom Lendl Simmons hit a run-a-ball 50, batting with one pad against the spinners. Martin Guptill then hit 43 and Chris Lynn 32, and there were two wickets each for Samuel Badree, JJ Smuts and Tabraiz Shamsi.

Trinbago looked like a much better side with Denesh Ramdin in it...they finally had a keeper who could catch the ball.
8-)
Trinbago beat Guyana by seven runs in a close encounter. Hashim Amla hit 64 from 54 balls to take Trinbago to 151-4, Rayad Emrit taking two wickets. Anton Devcich, Kevon Cooper, Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine then took two wickets each to restrict the hosts to 144-9, Martin Guptill topscoring with 50 from 40 balls.

Despite Mike Hussey's 64 from 51 balls, St Lucia could only manage 138-6, Sohail Tanvir, Rayad Emrit and Adam Zampa taking two wickets each. Jason Mohammed hit 43 not out from 29 balls, and there were 30s from Chris Lynn and Dwayne Smith, as the hosts romped to victory.

Remember the Caribbean T20 a few years ago, when Chris Gayle hammered Veerasammy Permaul out of the attack, and set his career back a couple of years? Well, it happened again....
At a sold-out, drama-filled match at Sabina Park, Jamaica eventually beat Guyana by five wickets with more than four overs to spare. There were two wickets each for Dale Steyn and Imad Wasim as the hosts restricted Guyana to 128-6, Jason Mohammed topscoring with a run-a-ball 46 not out, and Chris Lynn chipping in with 33 from 18 balls. Then, Sohail Tanvir helped to reduce Jamaica to two runs for four wickets. Gayle, batting lower down the order after having to leave the field with a bad back, blasted 19 off a Permaul over, finishing on 45 not out from 29 balls, while Shakib al-Hasan hit a valuable run-a-ball 54 not out.

In front of a sold-out crowd at Kensington Oval, Barbados comfortably beat St Lucia by 25 runs. Nicholas Pooran hit 81 from just 39 balls, while AB de Villiers made 32 from 22, as Barbados rattled up 173-5, pacer Jerome Taylor - clearly looking happier playing T20s instead of Test cricket - took two wickets for St Lucia. Pacers Wayne Parnell and Ravi Rampaul then took two wickets each to restrict St Lucia to 148-8, for whom Andre Fletcher topscored with 20.

:)
At the newly-renamed Darren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia, the hosts crushed St Kitts-Nevis by 35 runs. Sammy himself hit 59 from 35 balls to guide his team to 174-9, pacer Alzarri Joseph taking 4-41 and there were two wickets each for medium pacers Krishmar Santokie and Jonathan Carter. St Lucia crushed Guyana by nine wickets with nearly four overs to spare. Pacers Jerome Taylor and Shane Watson took two wickets each to restrict Guyana to 159-5, Chris Lynn hitting 86 from 45 balls, and Dwayne Smith making a run-a-ball 56. The hosts easily chased down that target with Johnson Charles making 94 not out from just 52 balls, and Watson 57 not out from 39.
