The two Rs (Rashid and Rafiq) are giving Yorks a chance v Notts (didn't think Yorks had a chance v Notts) but are nearly bowled out with just seam to come. Plunkett is going for a lot of runs in recent games. Tim has been expensive. Could be another close finish.

fancy Sussex promoting Jordan up the order. He then smacked an impressive 1 off the next 6 balls, sucked all the life out the sussex reply, and having arrived at the crease with his team in the ascendency, he then departed leaving them with a lot to do

Why send a bowler in ahead of a batsman when you are trying to finish a game off? Perhaps it's the modern thing to do.... something an old fuddy duddy like me wouldn't understand

Durham do this all the time, and it's stupid and hardly ever comes off it's very modern and we are just a bit unlucky that it doesn't work more often than it does

Two terrible wide decisions by Garrett didn't help. The one that went for four byes was a foot past leg stump that was the worst but the one in the last over was clearly a wide too.

That said Sussex were absolute carp.

Just returned from the match. Bell batted well but generally Warwickshire were poor. Too much buffet bowling and looked clueless against the spin. An excellent opening stand from Levi and Rossington. he big shock to me was Wakely's innings.
