think the rules are 4 players allowed to get retained and 4 or 5 more with match to buy cards.

Not good if you're a fan of a team but i suppose it evens the teams up again.

TBH the teams are quite even already, only really pune are awful.
the rest are decent.
Gujarat were meant to be weak in depth and they reached the final last year.
they had a stinker in the auction today though.

By future returns i mean return in forthcoming season onwards.

Any chances pune will be allowed to play even if CSK and Rajasthan return. In that case Pune will retain Ben.

Well, England seem to be recognised as a force in T20 these days judging by the action in the auction. Stokes as the most expensive foreign player ever bought is ridiculous, as is Mills as the most expensive bowler and how did Woakes go for such money?

RCB has never had a good bowling attack so they never won IPL. Starc has withdrawn this year.

So Tymal and Billy have been added.

Imo 4 foreinors would be Gayle, ABD , Watson and Tymal.

Gayle i guess was horribly out of form in PSL. But they usually carry Gayle even though he is out of form. Options are travis Head as batsman + spin replacement or replace Gayle with pacer Billy.
