TBH the standard of fielding in cricket is generally poor.
everything else improving fielding declining or staying the same.

No Pieterson or Hastings for the Stars, terrible for my FL team.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

The scorchers have made a balls up of their innings moving Bell down to 4 in order to get opener Shaun Marsh in the team flopped big time. a total of 130 should hardly raise a sweat from the Strikers.
Willey's batting is getting worse almost everey innings, hell be losing his allrounder tag if he doesn't buck up.

Watching Thunder v Heat ...some good hitting at the end of that innings by Green (who he ?) and Cummins has struck twice now to leave the Brisbane mob struggling ...

But I just can't get invested in these games. Teams without any real identity. Cannot summon any concern as to who wins ...which I guess is the key to relaxation :) Just seems a bit foreign to watching cricket.

Interesting to see players you don't normally get to watch : Cutting bowled pretty well for Heat. Few years back he was in the frame for Test selection : had a couple of ODIs and then slipped out of the pecking order ...looked a decent bowler this evening.

Yes mike I saw it, very sad. Hope it's not a big hamstring injury but even a tweak takes time to heal. My FL team loses another key player. Ina Bell run out for the second time, he fault this time as it was his call.

It was a confusing, and almost amusing, incident. He was racing around the boundary to cut off a ball, as he rolled his left ankle and crashed to the ground on the point of his right shoulder. He then lay face down for a while. First thought was a dislocated shoulder, then an ankle tendon injury.

But no, he was clutching at his hamstring. As a commentator said, he is likely to be sore in three places today. It looked to be high up in his hamstring, my guess is that he will miss the rest of the BBL.

Then again, I thought Amir was out of the test series after hurting his knee last week...

It's not for our generation. But there's a younger generation which prefers this to test cricket. The boxing day test only had good crowds on boxing day itself. On the succeeding days the big bash outstripped the test match crowds.

This match had over 34000. Much more than what turned up for the last four days of the boxing day test.

Lynn and mccullum!

What is it with Dan Christian, he doesn't bowl anymore? My recollection is he was a decent wicket taker which is why I have him in my FL team.
