On Thursday, Barbados kept their hopes of advancing alive, by beating the hapless St Lucia Stars by 29 runs in Bridgetown, in front of a mediocre crowd.

Dwayne Smith blasted 103 not out from just 65 balls, including five fours and eight sixes, to lead Barbados to an imposing 195-4. He received support from Nicholas Pooran, who made 32 from only 20 balls, while offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall took 2-30 for St Lucia.

Despite a knock of 78 retired hurt from just 44 balls from Cornwall, St Lucia could only manage 1166-4, pacer Wahab Riaz taking 1-5 for the hosts.

On Friday in front of an average crowd at Sabina Park, Guyana crushed Jamaica by nine wickets with more than nine overs to spare.

Andre McCarthy hit 44 from 35 balls, and Kumar Sangakkara 38 from 31, to take Jamaica to 149-7. They were restricted by medium pacers Sohail Tanvir (2-27) and Rayad Emrit (2-29).

Chadwick Walton then hammered 84 not out from just 40 balls, and Luke Ronchi 55 not out from 29, to take Guyana to a convincing victory.

In front of a good crowd at Kensington Oval on Saturday, Barbados beat Trinbago Knight Riders by 16 runs.

Legspinner Shadab Khan took 2-13 to have Barbados reeling at 62-7, but a rearguard innings of 44 not out from 35 balls from Wayne Parnell rescued the hosts to 136-9. Left-arm pacer Parnell then took 3-31, and he was supported by another leftie, Wahab Riaz (2-24), and medium pacer Kieron Pollard (2-26), as they bowled TKR out for 120 all out. Tailender Javon Searles topscored for the visitors with 29.

In front of an average crowd on Sunday, St Kitts hammered Barbados by 10 wickets with all of 13 overs to spare, in a game marred by poor sportsmanship from Tridents captain Kieron Pollard.

Medium pacer Carlos Brathwaite took 4-15 and chinaman Tabraiz Shamsi 2-14 as they restricted Barbados to just 128-9. Tion Webster topscored with 32 from 25 balls.

Evin Lewis then blasted 97 not out from only 33 balls, but was denied a well-deserved century when Pollard deliberately bowled a no-ball to deny the St Kitts opener the landmark. The result meant that Barbados failed to advance to the knockout stage.

In the playoff at the Brian Lara Stadium in south Trinidad on Tuesday, St Kitts crushed Trinbago Knight Riders by 38 runs in front of a mediocre crowd.

Chris Gayle hit a patient run-a-ball 54 not out, and Brandon King chipped in with 30 from 28 balls, to guide St Kitts to 149-7 on a pitch that assisted the bowlers. Pacers Dwayne Bravo (4-38) and Ronsford Beaton (2-22) did most damage for the hosts.

Left-arm pacer Sheldon Cottrell then took 3-17 to bowl TKR out for 111 all out, Darren Bravo topscoring with 29 from 33 balls. St Kitts advanced to the final, while TKR had to play another eliminator. St Kitts advanced straight to the final, while TKR had to play an eliminator to get another chance of reaching the final.

In front of a poor crowd at Tarouba on Wednesday, Guyana eliminated Jamaica by five wickets with more than two overs to spare.

Kumar Sangakkara hit 57 not out from 38 balls, and he received support from Lendl Simmons, who made 34 from 25 balls, to take Jamaica to 168-8. Spinners Rashid Khan (3-32) and Steven Jacobs did most damage for Guyana. Afghanistan's Rashid took the first-ever hat-trick in the CPL, ripping the heart out of the Jamaican middle-order, bowling Andre McCarthy, Jonathan Foo and Rovman Powell in succession.

Despite 3-25 from spinner Mahmadullah Riyad, Guyana were taken to victory by Luke Ronchi, who hit 70 from 33 balls, and Chadwick Walton (39 from 23).

The victory carried Guyana into a final playoff with Trinbago Knight Riders, to decide who played St Kitts in the final.

In front of a good crowd just outside of San Fernando on Thursday, Trinbago Knight Riders raced into the final of the CPL, when they beat Guyana by six wickets.

Offspinner Sunil Narine (2-21) and pacer Ronsford Beaton (2-30) restricted Guyana to 159-6, Chadwick Walton, Gajanand Singh and Roshon Primus hitting 30s. Colin Munro took TKR to victory with an unbeaten knock of 57 from 51 balls, and he received support from Darren Bravo, who made 43 from 27 balls.

The Trinbago Knight Riders won the CPL on Saturday, when they beat St Kitts by three wickets with one over to spare in front of a packed crowd at the Brian Lara Stadium.

Medium pacers Javon Searles (2-29) and Kevon Cooper (2-12) restricted St Kitts to 135-6, Carlos Brathwaite topscoring with 30 not out from 25 balls. Offspinner Sunil Narine was particularly stingy with four overs one wicket for eight runs.

Spinners Tabraiz Shamsi (2-20) and Mohammed Hafeez (2-19), and left-arm pacer Sheldon Cottrell (2-21), hit back to have TKR reeling at 90-7, Colin Munro having made 29 from 23 balls. But then an unbeaten partnership between Denesh Ramdin (26 from 31) and Cooper (29 from 14) carried the hosts to an emotional victory.
