Frustrating for Yorkies especially Moxon but that's the situation which applies to all counties. Yorkies looking to change rules but should you prevent players the chance of earning circa £220k for 6 weeks work ?-that's a life changing amount of money.
And neither Willey nor Plunkett are Yorkshire-developed players.
Individuals participating in the IPL is not necessarily an issue, more that Yorkshire found themselves two club contracted bowlers unavailable at short notice when they were expeced to start the County Championship season and not every county will be affected in the same way. Financial compensation is one thing, but money will not take wickets against Essex.
Since the IPL will have a place in the Future Tours Programme along with City Based T20 being a prominent part in English cricket, counties need flexibility to sign like for like players on a cover basis.
