Even Lewis has not progressed as much as I thought he would in the T20 format. Probably bowlers have now figured out that he has a weakness against the fuller balls and is very strong on anything that is short pitch stuff.

I agree....

In a battle of cellar teams in Bridgetown, St Lucia beat Barbados by six wickets with more than two overs to spare in a low-quality match.

Chris Lamont (2-21), Kesrick Williams (2-32) and Obed McCoy (2-24) contained a stuttering home team to 135-7, Hashim Amla topscoring with a run-a-ball 35.

David Warner then anchored the St Lucia reply with a run-a-ball 42 not out, while Chandrapaul Hemraj struck 37 from 26, as the visitors ended their group fixtures.

Tall pacers Mohammed Irfan and Jason Holder were the best bowlers for Barbados with 2-22 and 2-25.

At Basseterre, St Kitts-Nevis beat Jamaica by seven wickets with five balls to spare on the D/L method after rain wrecked the match.

Rovman Powell hammered 84 from just 40 balls, and Glenn Phillips made 40 from 29, as Jamaica piled up an imposing 206-6 against Ben Cutting's 2-29.

Rain reduced the target to 118 from 11 overs, and Chris Gayle got the hosts off to a good start with 41 from 24, while Rassie van der Dussen finished off the job with 45 not out from 24 balls. There was one wicket each for Krishmar Santokie, Oshane Thomas and Adam Zampa.

In the eliminator, St Kitts eliminated Jamaica by a mere two wickets with just one ball to spare in a thrilling match at Providence.

Glenn Phillips blasted 103 from just 63 balls, including nine fours and four sixes, to propel Jamaica to what seemed to be a formidable 191-5. The Kiwi received supported from Ross Taylor, who made 33 from 23, while Ben Cutting took 2-45.

Anton Devcich hammered 50 from only 23 balls, but there was not much else, as St Kitts somehow scraped home against Ish Sodhi (3-36) and Oshane Thomas (3-43).

Indeed...the team that plays more matches tends to be sharper.

The Trinbago Knight Riders delivered a home win when they beat Guyana by eight wickets with more than two overs to spare in the final of the CPL at Tarouba.

Spinner Khary Pierre took 3-29 and seamer Dwayne Bravo 2-30 to restrict Guyana to 147-9, Luke Ronchi the only batsman to offer any resistance with 44 from 35.

Colin Munro blasted 68 not out from 39 balls, including six fours and three sixes, to take TKR to victory. He received support from Brendan McCullum (39 from 24) and Denesh Ramdin (24 from 30), while the only Guyanese wicket-takers were Romario Shepherd and Chris Green, who took one each.
