5 penalty runs for Gloucs. Not sure why, maybe for ball hitting helmet on the ground - but very rare to ever see a spare helmet laying around in a t20 match.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

Looking at the Glamorgan Twitter account it looks as if it was this new 'fake fielding' rule where the fielder pretends to throw when the ball has evaded him.

What a knock from Nabi.

Not the first time that Leicester have come back from nowhere this season.

I wonder what the record is for most balls faced without a boundary in t20?

Dawson is currently on 33 balls.

Make that 35 and out.

Incredible game at the Oval. Middlesex made 221 with Stirling 109 from 58 balls. Jason Roy out just now for 84 ( 37 balls) after an opening stand of 194 in 13.5 overs with Finch who is 105 no from 37 balls! Surrey needing 26 from 35 balls so will chase 221 with overs to spare.

My mate is there. When he text me at half way to suggest Middlesex had set a really good score, I did point out that Surrey have already made 250 this season.

On their day, Roy and Finch can't be matched by any of the other 17 counties. (And Finch's run of scores in particular is something to behold.)

Northants seem to be having a really tough time so should be vulnerable. On the other hand they're surely going to win at some stage so might be dangerous - they have some very good players so have been underachieving.

Yep. if they had lost the reaction would have been interesting. Seems to be to be needless tinkering with the rules and I bet there will be an occasion in a high profile match where the ruling will prove controversial at a crunch stage.

I was at the reverse fixture - 231 played 231 - surely the highest ever tied T20?

It must be. Extraordinary result. That's been Northants problem - overall economy rate of something ridiculous like 10 or 11 runs per over.
