Not much in terms of clouds in the sky. Pitch seems good if a bit slow. Outfield definitely slow but has drained well in spite of all the rain.

The Darren Sammy stadium has a better drainage system than most cricket grounds around the world. The Chinese did a good job when they built it.

England cruising after the loss of the openers.

I'm still concerned that the washout against Sri Lanka could prove costly. South Africa and West Indies will be much sterner tests.

And England wrap up a comfortable victory under Duckworth Lewis.

they may have to beat both of them if other results don't go England's way, or if the rain doesn't even things up in other matches

Sri Lanka 97-7

Siriwardena 31

Jahanara 3-21

The target should be too much for Bangladesh.

India taking their time against Ireland. Seems they have no intention of giving Ireland anything like a sniff by batting recklessly

Taylor led from the front against south Africa. West indies took some excellent catches. Some outstanding run outs too.

England pretty much have to win tonight. they won't want to go into the final game having to beat WI whilst also relying on SA somehow managing to lose to Bangladesh.

I can't see SL upsetting WI

Shrubsole raps up the SA innings with a hattrick.

Mind you the batting standard of nine ten and Jack was very reminiscent of the tailenders in the club side i used to play for. And that was after imbibing pint after pint of Kronenbourg while the top order did their thing.

Actually that's a bit of an insult to those inebriates who could still hit a long ball with blurred vision. This bunch are utterly useless, standard has dropped since I last looked in.

Superb effort from the England bowlers. Restricting South Africa to just 85 while they still had wickets intact for most of the innings.

England should be on their way to the semis. I suppose technically they can still fail to qualify if Sri Lanka beat the West Indies, then West Indies beat England, but England's NRR is likely to be so far ahead of Sri Lanka's after this game that it's going to require two absolute thrashings. And it's hard to see Sri Lanka thrashing the West Indies.

However, thanks to that washout England are still going to have to beat the West Indies to top the group (although the top of group B is yet to be decided in the Australia-India game tomorrow, you'd have to assume that avoiding Australia would be preferable).

So having seemed as though England were cruising to victory, 3 wickets in 3 overs and they've been massively pegged back.

Is there a twist here?

Wobble negotiated, and a comfortable win for England in the end. Didn't boost their NRR much though.

South Africa are out, and Sri Lanka have to beat West Indies to have any chance of progressing.
