Strikers under the cosh a bit in the knockout match

Carey at the crease with 9 overs to go and 77 runs required. Will he do what he usually does and suck the life out of the innings?

there rarely seems to be any urgency in his play, which has to be a worry for South Australian's

there hasn't been a boundary struck since Head got out more than 3 overs ago

in fact the only time the ball has travelled to the rope was when Doggett flung the ball down the leg side for 5 wides

Strikers implode

Carey is such a slow batsman, so completely unsuited for T20, that I'm surprised he hasn't been snapped up by Durham; a side that do hapless collapses better than any other team anywhere in the world

The Stars to give the Thunder a bit of a thrashing on Thursday, is my prediction.

Being wrong would be fun.

after losing yet another KO match, but given an extra chance by the new rule changes, the Stars finally made it over the line....... woo hoo!

everyone is required by the authorities to ignore the extra rule change that saw the Thunder players having to play the 'Challenge' match with one arm taped behind their backs

but hey........Go Stars!

so, the Stars get to play Sydney Sixers in Sydney on (?)Sunday.

The bushfire fundraising match with a pile of old-stagers - that was going to be the warm-up to the final - has been moved to the Junction Oval in Melbourne because of forecast heavy rain. From now until Sunday.

Apparently, BBL organisers have not factored in a back-up day for the final.

No game, and yet another year that the Stars don't win. That will make every Australian that doesn't like Eddie Maguire (which is most) happy.

if only Hobart can get win the competition before the Stars manage to...
